Swimming with whale sharks, humpback whales, and manta rays can be an incredible and awe-inspiring experience. These majestic marine creatures are known for their size, grace, and beauty, and encountering them in their natural habitat is a dream for many nature enthusiasts.

Whale shark season is from March to July/August. There are quite a few very good operators in town. Book early especially during the school holiday period to ensure you get a spot to see these gentle giants.

Busses run from town and Yardie homestead, check detail with operators to arrange pickup from the house.

Fishing Charters

Fishing Charters

Having fished with some of the local charters, we highly recommend a day or two on the water with them. Their knowledge of the area and all the different fishing variations is priceless. We also encourage tag and release as well as responsible bottom fishing. Take what you need, don't try every day to bag out and never upgrade your catches. If the sharks are onto your fishing spot move to another area.

Exmouth Boat Hire

Exmouth Boat Hire

We hired boats from Aspa for many years before we bought our own boat for Exmouth. There are different sizes available that can cater for all your needs from cruising around the canals and gulf all the way to offshore blue marlin fishing. A vehicle with a 3500kg towing capacity will be required for the large boats. Ensuring you also comply with your towing vehicle maximum GVM would be worthwhile. There is the option to hire a smaller boat or a boat with a towing vehicle if available. If your vehicle doesn't have a trailer breaking system, i.e. Redarc it's not a problem as they can provide a portable braking system with their boats. Lastly, for a trailer breaking system to work on boat trailers, there should be power to your trailer plug (normally on pin 2) to power the hydraulic braking system.
