Gecko is owned by a family trust and managed by the trustees. We have a personal interest in the property and strive to ensure the best possible experience for all our guests. Guests have the option to book through the normal vacation rental platforms like Airbnb, Stayz and Bookings.com see links below or directly through this site that is hosted by Guesty for hosts. Guesty is a very large global hosting company for property owners that manage their own properties as opposed to using a third party entity like a local holiday rental company with multiple holiday homes in a portfolio.

Advantages of using Guesty for guests and owners are the following:
- guests save at on average 7% on your overall booking cost. (Up to as much as 14%) Keep in mind some of the hosting sites will add admin, cleaning and service fees on top of the quoted rates. For a 7-10 day stay the saving could be as much as $1200 depending on the season.
- in general hosts respond much faster to questions/requests and have the ability to customize their service offering to some extent when required. (Not possible on generic hosting sites with third party management)
